Data types supported inside Spiff

Spiff supports the following data types:

  • currency: any number (integer/float) that needs to be evaluated as a currency
  • date: any value that needs to be evaluated like a date (for example: 2019-01-01)
  • datetime: any value that needs to be evaluated like a datetime (for example: Friday, 29 May 2015 05:50:06)
  • enumeration: a data type that consists of a set of named values that represent integral constants, known as enumeration constants.
  • normalized percent: if you want percentage numbers like 50% to be processed as 100
  • number: for any number that needs to be treated like an integer (120) or a float (120.34)
  • percent: if you want percentage numbers like 50% to be processed as 0.5
  • skip: for any value that needs to be processed like a string
  • time: any value that needs to be evaluated like a time (for example: 17:11:09)
